| Spanish abstract | Desde el surgimiento de la palabra juventud en los años 60 como derivación de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, así como de grupos "contraculturales", disciplinas académicas como la Psicología, la Sociología y la Antropología han dado distintas interpretaciones sobre por qué los individuos suelen concentrarse en grupos y del por qué de sus manifestaciones. Este trabajo se centra en las posturas que han derivado de la Sociología a través de un recorrido teórico e histórico, así como de sus principales aportes y limitaciones. Este artículo pretende responder a la pregunta: ¿qué tan útil es clasificar desde la academia a los grupos "contraculturales"? |
| English abstract | Since the emergence of the category "youth" in the 1960s that derived from World War II and "counterculture" groups, academic fields like psychology, sociology, and anthropology have offered different interpretations of why individuals gather in groups and the reasons behind their practices.
