| Spanish abstract | La antigua capilla del hospital “Yurhixo” de Angahuan, forma parte importante del contexto histórico de las construcciones edificadas durante los primeros años de la colonización española en la sierra tarasca de la región de Michoacán, México. Esta obra arquitectónica, representante de las capillas de hospital del siglo XVI, muestra la sencillez de solución arquitectónica con la que se cubrían las necesidades de evangelización en esa época. La investigación se centra en realizar un análisis y registro del inmueble, identificando las alteraciones y deterioros materiales, indicando un dictamen del estado de conservación del mismo, así como proponer una intervención del inmueble, abordando las actividades referentes a consolidación de muros de mampostería exteriores, portada de fachada principal, pisos y recubrimientos interiores, así como la restauración completa de la estructura de madera, indicándose también un proceso de restauración de la cubierta |
| English abstract | The old hospital chapel of "Yurhixo" in Angahuan, is an important part of the historical context of the buildings built during the early years of colonization in the Tarascan mountain range of the region of Michoacan, Mexico. This architectural building is an important sample of the sixteenth century hospital chapels, it shows the simplicity of architectural solution that met the needs of evangelization in the regions of the Columbian age. The research focuses on an analysis and registration of state of the chapel, identifying changes and materials deteriorations, giving an opinion of the state of conservation thereof and to propose a way of intervention of the building, in the proposed restoration activities concerning to consolidation of masonry exterior walls, cover of main facade, interior floors and coatings, and the complete restoration of the wooden structure, indicating a restoration process of the roof |
