| English abstract | In this article the relationship between credit and economic growth is approached from a regional point of view. As the distribution of credit is very unevenly distributed among regions of the country,wewill investigate,using a simple econometric model, the relationship between credit and GDP, and credit and labor productivity in the 2000s. It is confirmed that the credit for the southern and southeastern regions have a greater effect on GDP growth and the growth of labor productivity than for other regions. It is also estimated these effects given the credit through BNDES and the Constitutional Funds |
| Portuguese abstract | Este artigo aborda a relação entre crédito e crescimento econômico sob a ótica regional. Como a distribuição do crédito é muito desigual entre as regiões do país, investiga por meio de um modelo econométrico simples, a relação entre crédito e Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) e crédito e produtividade do trabalho nos anos 2000. Confirma que o crédito destinado às regiões Sul e Sudeste tem um efeito maior sobre o crescimento do PIB e sobre o crescimento da produtividade do trabalho do que para as demais regiões. Estimada também esses efeitos considerando o crédito via Banco Nacional do Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social(BNDES) e Fundos Constitucionais |
