| English abstract | The author critically analyzes the 2013 document of the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People and the Pontifical Council Cor Unum "Welcoming Christ in refugees and forcibly displaced people. Pastoral Guidelines". The analysis is undertaken in synopsis with the 1992 document titled, "Refugees: A Challenge to Solidarity". Focusing on five areas - the documents, the context of references, the challenges, the responsibilities of the states and the responsibility of the Catholic Church -, the author highlights similarities, differences and gaps in the two documents |
