| English abstract | In this work, we analyze the relations between the Afro-Indo-Brazilian religions and the public sphere, casting a close look at the forms, procedures, and relations through which these religions project themselves in the public sphere. From data of observation of the empirical reality of the action of the people of santo in the public sphere and of the analysis of the socio-anthropological literature that deals with the mentioned question, we intend to systematize its forms of public presence. The cultural form has been historically more common; however, we emphasize that the Afro-Indo-Brazilian is no longer reduced to it in its form of public insertion. We show here six forms of presence: the cultural, the judicialization, the mass culture, the resumption of the institutional structure of dependence, patrimonialization and festivals (public parties) |
| Portuguese abstract | No trabalho em tela, analisamos as relações entre as religiões afro-indo-brasileiras e a esfera pública, lançando um olhar atento às formas, aos procedimentos e às relações através dos quais essas religiões se projetam na esfera pública. A partir de dados da observação da realidade empírica da atuação do povo de santo na esfera pública e da análise da literatura socioantropológica que trata da referida questão, pretendemos sistematizar suas formas de presença pública. A forma cultural tem se mostrado historicamente mais comum; contudo, frisamos que o afro-indo-brasileiro já não se reduz a ela em seu modo de inserção pública. Evidenciamos aqui seis formas de presença: a cultural, a cultura de massa, a retomada da estrutura institucional de dependência, a judicialização, a patrimonialização e a festa pública |
