| Spanish abstract | Ante la evidente necesidad de alternativas para el desarrollo sustentable del territorio en México, se han implementado varios instrumentos de planificación integral a través de los cuales se proponen estrategias para el uso y ocupación del territorio, como los programas estatales de ordenamiento territorial. En el caso de Chihuahua, el mayor aporte metodológico del que corresponde al del 2015 es el Modelo de Ocupación Territorial, el cual busca potencializar el desarrollo regido por el criterio de sustentabilidad para garantizar una adecuada planificación y asignación de políticas territoriales y estrategias óptimas, facilitando la toma de decisiones técnico-políticas en términos de ordenamiento territorial |
| English abstract | Due to the need of alternatives for sustainable development of the Mexican territory, several instruments of integral planning had been implemented in the country. Among them, there are strategies for the use and occupation of the territory like the official State Programs of Territorial Ordering (known as PEOT by its acronym in Spanish). In the case of the state of Chihuahua, the Model of Territorial Occupation (MOT) was the best methodological achievement of the Planning Program in 2015. It aims to potentiate the development ruled by the sustainability criterion, to guarantee an adequate planning and allocation of optimal policies and strategies, by making technical-political decisions easier in terms of territorial ordering planning |
