| Spanish abstract | Esta es una investigación cualitativa, de orientación etnográfica cuyo propósito es identificar las representaciones sociales existentes en una familia hacia uno de sus miembros con Trastorno Afectivo Bipolar (TAB); para lo cual se trabajó con la familia de una persona diagnosticada con este trastorno, con los cuales se realizó una serie de observaciones sistemáticas y entrevistas a profundidad propias del método etnográfico. Los resultados obtenidos en la investigación mostraron que las representaciones sociales que tiene la familia respecto al individuo con TAB, están relacionadas con la necesidad que tiene la familia, de asumir la enfermedad del sujeto como una situación real que genera emociones específicas y que afecta de manera directa la dinámica familiar |
| English abstract | This is a qualitative investigation, of ethnographic orientation that had as purpose to identify the existent social representations in a family toward one of their members with bipolar affective dysfunction; for that which we worked with the family of a person diagnosed with bipolar affective dysfunction, to those which, were carried out a series of observations and interviews owned of the ethnographic method. The results obtained in the investigation, showed that the social representations that has the family regarding the individual with TAB, they is it in relation with the need that the family have about assume the subject’s sickness like a real situation that generated specific emotions and that it affects in a direct way the family dynamics |
