| Spanish abstract | Se hace un breve recorrido de la teoría del duelo en Freud y Lacan que permite obtener un saldo clínico unívoco de ambas teorías: el duelo deja un enigma incurable en la subjetividad. Para Freud el duelo deja siempre en la subjetividad un hueco que puede tomar distintos destinos. Lacan ubica al duelo en relación al objeto a y la privación; desde allí destacamos diferentes vicisitudes: pasaje al acto, movimiento donde el sujeto es arrastrado por el objeto hacia una caída que puede terminar en suicidio; acting-out como escena escandalosa que es, al mismo tiempo, un llamado al Otro; acto como aspecto fecundo del duelo, porque el sujeto, en esta respuesta ante la privación, no se pierde tras el objeto a sino que cambia su posición subjetiva; síntoma en tanto es posible darle al objeto a cobertura de un nuevo sustituto vía el falo |
| English abstract | This paper presents a brief journey along Freud’s and Lacan’s theories of mourning which yields an unambiguous clinical outcome from both: mourning leaves an incurable enigma in subjectivity. According to Freud, mourning always leaves a “hollow space” in subjectivity, which may take different paths. On the other hand, Lacan views mourning in relation to “object a” and deprivation; from where mourning traces different vicissitudes: a channel to the act, a move in which the object drags the subject into a downfall that may lead to suicide; acting-out, an exaggerated scene which is, in its turn, a call to the Other; act as a fertile aspect of mourning because the subject, in response to deprivation, does not get lost in pursuit of the “object a” but changes his/her subjective position; and symptom, as it is possible to provide “object a” with the cover of a new substitute via the phallus |
