| Spanish abstract | Nos interesa articular algunas formas afectivas que configuran la ciudad de Caracas (Venezuela) a partir de lo que sus habitantes cuentan sobre ella. Para esto, hemos partido de una psicología social que atiende al significado que tiene para la gente su vida cotidiana, y con auxilio de la hermenéutica de Gadamer y Ricoeur hemos pro-curado interpretar algunas narraciones que tejen la ciudad. Apostamos por comprender cómo aparece la ciudad en 15 relatos surgidos de las preguntas ¿qué significa para sus habitantes Caracas? y ¿cómo la relatan? En ellos encontramos una ciudad polémica: la que (se) sufre y la que (se) goza; en la primera emergen sentidos, tales como lo caótico, la inseguridad, el aburrimiento y la ciudad demediada; en la segunda, un mosaico iluminado, la oportunidad de sentirme libre, la seguridad del trabajo y la estética revolucionaria |
| English abstract | On this paper we discuss the affective forms that shape the city of Caracas, from what its citizens tell us. Hence, from a Social Psychology interested in how people make sense on their everyday life, we have tried to understand from the hermeneutic perspective of Gadamer (1977) and Ricoeur (2000), those aesthetics configurations that emerge in the daily stories about the city. We are committed to understand how the city appears through 15 stories that emerged from the questions: what does Caracas mean for its inhabitants? and how do they tell it? We found primarily a controversial city: The city that suffers and the city that enjoys. In the first one, emerging senses such as chaos, insecurity, boredom, and the cloven city; in the second one, a light mosaic, the opportunity to feel free, the job security and the revolutionary aesthetic |
