| English abstract | This paper aims at analyzing representations of the teaching of literature in three different films: 'Dangerous Minds', 'Finding Forrester' (both Hollywood productions) and 'Il Postino' (an Italian production). From an investi-gation of the main concepts of literature, the relationships between literature and films and the different concepts of literature teaching, the author analyzes selected scenes from the films aiming at identifying both the coinci-dences and differences in their representations. It examines the role of the teacher in the process of introducing students to the literary world, the relationship between this world and their day-to-day lives, and the connection between this literary world and the students' writings. | Portuguese abstract | O presente estudo tem por objetivo averiguar as representações do ensino da literatura em três produções cine-matográficas: Mentes perigosas, O carteiro e o poeta e Encontrando Forrester. A partir de um exame das princi-pais concepções de Literatura, das relações entre literatura e cinema e de diversas concepções do ensino de Lite-ratura, procedeu-se o exame de cenas selecionadas dos referidos filmes, de forma a configurar as coincidências e as diferenças de tais representações. Buscou-se examinar, entre outros, o papel (formal ou informal) do/da pro-fessor/a na aproximação dos aprendizes com o universo literário, a relação entre esse universo e o cotidiano de tais sujeitos, assim como a aproximação entre a leitura literária e a produção textual individual dos mesmos. Nu-ma perspectiva ampla, propõe-se a possibilidade de explorar como o cinema vem representando e, ao mesmo tempo, produzindo o ensino da Literatura em diversos âmbitos |
