| English abstract | This article discusses the issue of the reading in classes of a foreign language. The article presents theoretical frameworks related to reading and the development of critical readers to analyze the activities of the course book “Hacia el Español, curso de lengua y cultura hispânica”, written by Fátima Cabral Bruno e Maria Angélica Mendoza, specially developed for Brazilian students. From the methodology proposed in the book investigated and the guidelines presented for the teachers, this paper analyses the criteria used in the preparation of the book and in the selection of the texts aiming at identifying the advantages and limits of the book when used by Spanish teachers towards the development of the students’ reading abilities of the Spanish as a foreign language |
| Portuguese abstract | O artigo discute a questão da leitura em sala de aula, em especial da leitura em língua estrangeira. Toma-se como base a teoria e análises sobre leitura e sobre leitura e formação do leitor crítico para se discutir como se processam as atividades de leitura no livro didático Hacia el Español, curso de lengua y cultura hispânica para alunos brasileiros, de Fátima Cabral Bruno e Maria Angélica Mendoza. A partir da metodologia que orienta a elaboração do livro-texto analisado e as orientações didáticas dirigidas ao professor, faz-se a análise dos critérios para a elaboração do material e seleção dos textos para avaliar as vantagens e limites de sua utilização pelo professor de espanhol, para o desenvolvimento da capacitação leitora de alunos de espanhol como língua estrangeira |
