| English abstract | This article presents a case study of Labor Court performance in the collective dispute involving mass layoff by the Embraer company within the context of the current crisis in the international capitalist system. Its goal is to demonstrate how, in this particular case, symbolic disputes around the “right to name rights” took shape and how such disputes express recognition of rights and social order aspirations. It also considers their impact on the breadth of possibilities that the actions of collective entities have in the “struggle for rights” |
| Portuguese abstract | O artigo apresenta um estudo de caso sobre a atuação da Justiça do Trabalho no dissídio coletivo que envolveu as demissões em massa realizadas pela empresa Embraer no contexto da atual crise do sistema capitalista internacional. O objetivo foi demonstrar como as disputas simbólicas pelo “direito de dizer o direito” se configuraram no episódio em questão e como tais disputas exprimiram o reconhecimento de direitos e de aspirações de ordem social, bem como repercutiram sobre a amplitude das possibilidades de entes coletivos em “lutar por direitos” |
