| English abstract | This paper aims to analyze how national banks developed socially responsible investment funds, also known as ethical funds, in the light of the literature of corporate social responsibility. In doing so, it was sought to analyze the characteristics of these funds and also discuss the CSR in an extremely competitive and unstable business context. The road layout to accommodate this goal was: a literature review concerning the concept of social responsibility in enterprises and its consequences; the relationship between this literature and marketing; the verification of the CSR use by the banking sector; the research of ethical funds in the national market and the comparison between the literature and the data obtained regarding these funds. This paper also pointed out directions for a research agenda, based on some questionings and limitations that indicate the next steps for a research on the topic |
| Portuguese abstract | Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar como os bancos nacionais desenvolveram fundos de investimento socialmente responsáveis, também conhecidos como fundos éticos, à luz da literatura de Responsabilidade Social Empresarial. Dessa forma, pretendeu-se analisar as características desses fundos e também discutir a RSE em um contexto empresarial extremamente competitivo e instável. O caminho traçado para contemplar tal objetivo foi: a revisão bibliográfica acerca do conceito de responsabilidade social nas empresas e seus desdobramentos; a relação entre esta literatura e o marketing; a verificação da utilização da RSE pelo setor bancário; a pesquisa dos fundos éticos existentes no mercado nacional e a comparação entre a literatura e os dados obtidos acerca destes fundos. Este trabalho buscou também apontar direções para uma agenda de pesquisa, baseadas em alguns questionamentos e limitações que indicam próximos passos para a pesquisa sobre o tema na área |
