| Portuguese abstract | No presente artigo analisamos três perícopes do livro de Atos dos Apóstolos (19.13-16; 20.7-12; 28.1-6) e, a partir da análise realizada, apontamos para a existência do gênero anedota nessas passagens neotestamentárias. Partimos da revisão dos principais estudos diacrônicos e sincrônicos feitos sobre o livro de Atos. Como metodologia, utilizamos os procedimentos da crítica das formas, uma vez que nesse texto discutimos a existência de um gênero literário que supostamente é ignorado pela exegese bíblica tradicional. No entanto, esse método típico da metodologia da exegese histórico-crítica é combinado com a teoria do romance de Bakhtin para propor renovação na abordagem teórica. As três perícopes mencionadas são analisadas a partir do texto grego. Assim, constata-se que, de fato, há anedotas no livro de Atos e que nesse livro a referida forma literária tem uma função dentro da narrativa, a de oferecer pausas no conteúdo da narrativa da obra lucana. Além disso, o resultado do estudo também aponta para a relevância da comicidade no Novo Testamento. |
| English abstract | This article analyzes three pericopes from the Acts of the Apostles (19:13-16; 20:7-12; 28:1-6) and highlights the existence therein of the literary genre anecdote. The article reviews the main diachronic and synchronic studies on the book of Acts. The method of form criticism is used, since those passages indicate the existence of a literary genre which is apparently overlooked by traditional biblical exegesis. This characteristic method of historical-critical exegesis is combined with Bakhtin’s theory of the novel, in order to propose a renewal of the theoretical approach. The three pericopes from the Acts of the Apostles are analyzed from the Greek text. The article points out the existence of anecdotes in the book of Acts and that the function of this literary genre is to provide pauses along the Lucan narrative. Another outcome of the study is to point out the relevance of comicality in the New Testament. |
