| English abstract | The article addresses Christian Faith hermeneutics and its implications in the history of Christian division and search of reconciliation. The focus is the relationship between Catholic and Lutheran churches in the context of the Reformation’s anniversary. It demonstrates the living out of faith as a result of a hermeneutical process of the Gospels where the different traditions emerge and configure distinct ecclesial identities. So, if during five hundred years Catholics and Lutherans diverged on the understanding of the Gospel; Ecumenical hermeneutics that favor overcoming these is urgent. The article takes some aspects of Luther’s hermeneutics and relates them to Catholic hermeneutics; demonstrating some methodological elements for Catholic-Lutheran Hermeneutics of Faith, and shows how the joint commemoration of the Reformation in 2017 may motivate communion between Catholics and Lutherans |
| Portuguese abstract | O artigo aborda questões de hermenêutica da fé cristã e suas implicações tanto na história da divisão cristã como na busca da reconciliação. O foco é a relação entre as Igrejas Católica e Luterana, no contexto dos 500 anos da Reforma de Lutero. Mostra a vivência da fé como resultado de um processo hermenêutico dos Evangelhos, de onde se originam diferentes tradições teológicas que configuram identidades eclesiais distintas. Se durante 500 anos, católicos e luteranos divergiram na compreensão do Evangelho, urge agora uma hermenêutica ecumênica que favoreça na superação das divergências. O artigo retoma aspectos da hermenêutica de Lutero e os relaciona com a hermenêutica católica; apresenta elementos metodológicos para uma hermenêutica católico-luterana da fé cristã; e mostra como a comemoração dos 500 anos da Reforma, em 2017, pode impulsionar a comunhão na fé entre católicos e luteranos |
