| Spanish abstract | La exhortación de Francisco sobre la familia retoma en algunos pasajes la figura deJosé de Nazaret, el llamado padre putativo o nutricio de Jesús. Su consideraciónpor parte de la iglesia católica romana fue, durante mil quinientos años, exigua. Ladoctrina y la devoción popular en torno a él en los siglos ulteriores han cooperadoa dejarlo casi en la penumbra. La encuesta a los escasos documentos oficialesque lo tienen en cuenta y a las deformaciones piadosas de su culto propone unreplanteamiento del significado de san José y de la "sagrada familia" para la fe delcreyente cristiano. El ensayo procede partiendo de los símbolos ofrecidos por laprimera alianza, la establecida entre Yahvé y su pueblo, procurando encontrar elpleno sentido de los mismos en la segunda, iniciada por Jesús como revelador deun misterio que parecía envuelto en la sombra |
| English abstract | Pope Francis' exhortation about family looks upon the figure of Joseph ofNazareth in some passages, the so called adoptive father of Jesus Christ. Hisconsideration from the Roman Catholic Church was, for fifteen hundred years,meagre. Doctrine and popular devotion regarding him in the last centuries haveleft him in the shadow. Surveying the few official documents that regard himand the pious deformation of his cult propose a reconsideration of the meaningof Saint Joseph and the "Holy Family" to the faith of any Christian believer. Thisessay starts from the symbols offered by the first alliance, the one established byYahweh and his people, making sure of finding full meaning of them in the secondpact, the one initiated by Jesus Christ as the revealer of a mystery that seemedto be in the shadows |
