| English abstract | The present paper aims to reflect about issues related to mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship, based on literature review. This relation is considered the most conflicted among the family dyads. The subject is wide and complex, allowing to be looked from different perspectives. Essa relação é considerada uma das mais conflituadas entre as díades familiares. Trata-se de um tema amplo e complexo e que permite um olhar sob várias perspectivas.
