| Spanish abstract | El creciente interés por crear y disponer de herramientas de apoyo diagnóstico, adaptadas a las condiciones del entorno, hace necesario llevar a cabo procedimientos de validación que cumplan con los criterios internacionales. Para el caso de la depresión, las distintas revisiones indican que hay limitaciones en los instrumentos, debidas a la confusión de medidas de intensidad y frecuencia, así como de síntomas característicos de esta entidad clínica. El objetivo del presente estudio es presentar las propiedades psicométricas del IDER con muestras de adolescentes y universitarios de la ciudad de Bucaramanga. Se trata de un estudio instrumental, llevado a cabo con 298 adolescentes (71.04% mujeres y 28.95%, hombres), con edades entre los 12 y los 17 años (Media: 15.05 años; DT: 1.03). La muestra de universitarios fue de 278 participantes (62.4% mujeres y 37.3% hombres) entre los16 y 28 años (media: 19.9 años; DT: 3.05). Los resultados permiten identificar las adecuadas propiedades psicométricas de la prueba con valores de confiabilidad, altos, mayores para los universitarios frente a los adolescentes, evidencias de la validez convergente y discriminante y adecuados niveles de consistencia interna |
| English abstract | The growing interest in creating and using diagnostic support tools which are adapted to environmental conditions makes it necessary to carry out some validation procedures which satisfy international criteria. In the case of depression, the various reviews show that there are limitations in instruments, due to confusion in the measurements of intensity and frequency, as well as characteristic symptoms of this clinic. The purpose of this study is to present the psychometric properties of the State-Trait Depression Inventory with samples of adolescents and university students in the city of Bucaramanga. This is an instrumental study, carried out with 298 adolescents (71.04% female and 28.95% male) aged between 12 and los 17 (Average: 15.05 years; DT: 1.03). The sample of university students consisted of 278 participants (62.4% female and 37.3% male) between 16 and 28. (Average: 19.9; DT: 3.05). The results permitted the identification of the suitable psychometric properties of the test with high levels of reliability, more for the university students than for the adolescents, which gives evidence of convergent and discriminant validity, and sufficient levels of internal consistency |
