| Spanish abstract | El artículo presenta los resultados del estudio de la colonia Seregni, uno de los nuevos modelos de colonización del Instituto Nacional de Colonización. Las preguntas problema son: la colonia ¿constituye una experiencia que facilita la resolución de escala económica y promueve la producción familiar? La colonia ¿fue capaz de integrar en forma benéfica a los asalariados de la zona y promover el capital humano y social? El objetivo general del estudio es relevar y analizar los impactos generados por la colonia en la zona de influencia, en las organizaciones y en los productores. La hipótesis orientadora es que las formas asociativas de producción, integradas a organizaciones sociales, promueven el desarrollo rural. Se utilizó una metodología de investigación cualitativa. Entre los principales resultados se puede decir que: los pequeños productores cuando acceden a más tierra en forma grupal, aumentan su capacidad y eficiencia de producción, y sus ingresos. Los asalariados rurales, generan una fuente alternativa de ingresos y se desarrollan como productores. El sistema colectivo permite un uso más racional de los recursos, aumenta la escala, disminuyen los costos de producción y mejoran los precios de venta. La creación de una cooperativa y el fortalecimiento de las organizaciones, fomentaron procesos de crecimiento personal (capacidad) y fortalecimiento del capital social |
| English abstract | This paper presents the results about the study of the Seregni Colony, one of the new models of colonization from the National Colonization Institute. Question problem is how the colony is an experience that facilitates the resolution of economic and promotes family–scale production? Is the colony was able to integrate beneficially to rural workers in the area and promote human and social capital? The study objective is to highlight and analyze the generated impacts from the colony in the area, in the organizations and their growers. The guiding hypothesis is that the associative production, integrated social organizations, promote rural development. Qualitative research methodology was used. The productive capacity is improved in proportion to the access to more land by groups of small growers, therefore the efficiency in production and their income are improved. Rural workers generate a new alternative for income and develop themselves as growers. The collective system leads to a more rational use of the resources, increasing of scale, reduction of production costs and improve sale prices.
