English abstract This text parts of the principle that the contemporary photographs are today above influence and contaminated by aesthetics and values from means of mass communication. Beginning of this premise, the text proposes to think about the difficulties to analyze today the contemporary photographic practices from the conceptual conditionings emanated by the cultural, aesthetics, artistic, mercantile and ideological institutions that, until today, are determinative on the thought systems. The reflection has as substrate the already historical foundation that have been offered by Roland Barthes on photography codification, especially in the titles O óbvio e o obtuso and A câmara clara, which has helped the thought of many thinkers in this area throughout history including the thesis proposed by Simon Watney, which is especially about social and cultural institutional structures like obstacles to the landslide of the ‘photographic’ in direction of a cultural plurality and diversity. This basis was complemented and compared with the basis of others thinkers that have an alternative orientation, like the colective Luther Blisset y the colective Sonia Brunzels, which proposes a ‘guerrilla of communication’ from orientations advocated by Roland Barthes. In order to constitute this argumentative structure the text uses also, like arguments, the analysis of the work of contemporary artists
