| English abstract | The objective of the article is to help the study of this important subject, seen from the educational angle, to contribute to the directors of educational institutions in Cuba and other Latin American countries, to deploy the creative initiative, with the aspiration that with its consequent study it will be possible to know what is needed to achieve what is desired as human beings, in a universe at our disposal. Leadership is not decreed, it is achieved by its own merit when the needs of the followers are met. To satisfy other people, one must be satisfied with oneself; one cannot give what one does not have; to transform one must constantly transform oneself, in the untiring search for perfection as human beings. It is to make a continuous renewal of the thought and the ways of acting. The present work is a small tribute to hundreds and thousands of men and women who have devoted themselves for years to educational management, in the formation of generations of citizens for the development of our societies. |
| Spanish abstract | El objetivo del artículo es ayudar al estudio de esta importante temática, vista desde el ángulo educacional, para contribuir a que los directivos de instituciones educacionales de Cuba y demás países de América Latina, desplieguen la iniciativa creadora, con la aspiración de que con su estudio consecuente se pueda saber qué se necesita para lograr lo deseado como seres humanos, en un universo a nuestra disposición. El liderazgo no se decreta, se alcanza por mérito propio cuando se atienden las necesidades de los seguidores. Para satisfacer a otras personas hay que estar satisfechos con sí mismos; no se puede dar lo que no se tiene; para transformar hay que transformarse constantemente, en la búsqueda incansable de la perfectibilidad como seres humanos. Es hacer renovación continua del pensamiento y de los modos de actuación. El presente trabajo es un pequeño homenaje a cientos y miles de hombres y mujeres que se han consagrado durante años a la dirección educacional, en la formación de generaciones de ciudadanos en aras del desarrollo de nuestras sociedades. |
