| Spanish abstract | En este trabajo se explora el conflicto entre la luz de la fe y el obscurantismo de la Razón, tanto a nivel general -entre la Iglesia católica y el Occidente moderno y sus "imperios filosóficos"- como al nivel particular y personal de quien escribe, primero en su experiencia como estudiante, y luego en su experiencia como profesor, en ambos casos en instituciones que, si se definen como laicas, en la práctica las más de las veces son más bien laicistas y, como tales, no ofrecen de entrada un ambiente de respeto por algo tan personal y tan íntimo -y que desde luego quisieran que tan sólo fuese personal e íntimo- como la fe cristiana |
| English abstract | This work explores the conflict between the light of faith and the obscurantism of reason. This exploration is made, at first, from a general perspective -between the Catholic Church and the modern West and its "philosophical empires"- and, as well, from the particular and personal level of the author: at first, in his experience as a student and then in his experience as a teacher. In both cases as a member of institutions that, if they define themselves as secular, in the practice they are secularist and, in that way, they do not offer an environment of respect for something so intimate and personal -and their desire is for this faith to be just personal and intimate- as Christian faith |
