| Spanish abstract | El objetivo del presente artículo es determinar la estructura diacrónica en la investigación en ciencias sociales de la Universidad del Zulia, considerada esta como un criterio de diferenciación desarrollado por Padrón (1998) para evaluar las investigaciones. Para ello se utilizó el enfoque inductivo, a través del análisis documental y entrevistas. Se estudiaron 78 artículos de cuatro revistas publicadas en el área de ciencias sociales editadas en LUZ, encontrando que en las investigaciones predomina el enfoque introspectivo-vivencial (41%) y 84% se encuentran en la fase descriptiva, caracterizando el comportamiento de los fenómenos y arrojando como productos teorizaciones e interpretaciones de la realidad. Existe mayor tendencia hacia investigaciones de tipo introspectivovivencial, las cuales culminan describiendo o caracterizando el fenómeno, ya sea, por ser un proceso investigativo a este nivel ó por cumplir con un requisito académico |
| English abstract | The objective of the present article is to determine the diachronic structure in social science research at the University of Zulia, which is considered as a differential criteria developed by Padrón (1998) to evaluate research. An inductive focus was used, through documentary analysis and interviews. 78 articles from four journals published in social sciences field in the university of Zulia were studied, and it was found that in the research the introspective-experience focus prevailed (41%) and 84% were found to be in the descriptive phase, characterizing the behavior of the phenomena and offering as a products ideologies and interpretations of reality. A high tendency exists toward the introspective-experience research type, which culminates by describing or characterizing a phenomenon, either as a research process at this level, or in order to fulfill an academic requirement |
