| English abstract | This paper intends to discuss the regional financial cooperation in South America focusing the role of CAF, BNDES and Fonplata in the financing of investment in infrastructure in South American, especially those related to improve the physical connection between the countries. It attempts to show that the performance of the three above-mentioned fi nancial institutions in the financing of infrastructure – especially in transportation and electricity – is an important aspect of the regionalism in the 2000s |
