| Spanish abstract | Desde la irrupción del peronismo en 1945, la izquierda reformista argentina vive en permanente división: por un lado, un sector que reivindica el rol histórico de Juan Perón y asume una postura «nacional-popular»; por otro, un grupo más cercano a los paradigmas de la socialdemocracia. Esta división, que recorre el último medio siglo, se reactualiza hoy, en tiempos de Kirchner. El artículo sostiene que la heterogeneidad de la izquierda argentina, mayor que la que existe en países como Uruguay o Brasil, no debería ser solo motivo de disputas y enfrentamientos. Podría ser también una oportunidad para fomentar un diálogo fecundo entre ambas tendencias, pues la alternativa política al proceso de reformas iniciado en Argentina no es un gobierno de izquierda mejor, sino el retorno de un neoliberalismo apenas disfrazado |
| English abstract | Since the irruption of Peronism in 1945, the reformist Left has experienced a permanent division: on the one hand, those who vindicate the historical role of Juan Perón and assume a «national-popular» posture; and on the other, those closer to the social democratic paradigms. This division, which has characterized the last 50 years, has raised its head once again in the Kirchner epoch. This article argues that the heterogeneousness of the Argentine Left, more marked than in countries such as Uruguay or Brazil, should not be simply a source of disputes and confrontations. It could also be the opportunity for a fruitful dialogue between the two tendencies, given that the political alternative to the current process of reforms in Argentina, is not a better Left government but rather the return to a scarcely-disguised neoliberalism |
