| English abstract | The undermining of the political and institutional processes in Nicaragua after the failure of the revolutionary experiment of the eighties laid the basis for the emergence of what we here identify as the «Mara-State». It is a type of State which assumes a series of characteristics, symbolic expressions and organizational forms typical of the Central American gangs known as the maras: a negative identity, a sense of family loyalty and a personal and territorial vision of power |
