| Spanish abstract | La autora de esta nota hace una lectura del tomo dedicado a la lírica de sor Juana (Lírica personal, ed. Antonio Alatorre, EC.E., México, 2009). De acuerdo con ella, a nadie más que Antonio Alatorre podía el Fondo de Cultura Económica encomendar la tarea de reeditar la lírica de sor Juana. Alatorre compartió con Méndez Plancarte (el otro gran sorjuanista) el vastísimo conocimiento de la poesía hispánica de todos los tiempos, de la literatura clásica, de métrica e, incluso, la formación religiosa, pero, a diferencia del zamorano, nuestro filólogo fue un espíritu libre, con una mente no apta para el prejuicio, sino para el juicio, abierta a lo que la lectura le deparara. Además, tuvo la fortuna de atestiguar importantes descubrimientos, sobre todo la Carta al padre Núñez, precioso testimonio de la independencia intelectual y espiritual de sor Juana |
| English abstract | The author of this note offers a review of the book dedicated to the poet¬ry of sor Juana (Lírica personal, ed. Antonio Alatorre, F.C.E., México, 2009). Acording to her, nobody but Antonio Alatorre could accomplish the task, comissioned by the Fondo de Cultura Económica to hilll, of re-editing the poetry of sor Juana. Alatorre shared with Méndez Plancarte (another specialist in the literary works of the nun) the vast knowledge of Hispanic poetry of all times, of classicalliterature, of metrics, and even a religious education, but, unlike Méndez Plancarte, our philologist was a free spirit with a mind which wasn't made for prejudice, his reading skills could lead him to any place. He also had the fortune to witness important discoveries, especially the Letter to father Nuñez, precious testimony of the intelectual and spiritual independence of sor Juana |
