| Spanish abstract | En este ensayo el autor se centra en el personaje protagonista de Adelita y las guerrillas, de José G. Cruz, para llevar a cabo un análisis de cómo este personaje sirvió para sintetizar en la cultura popular algunos aspectos de la Revolución Mexicana, sobre todo aquella protagonizada por Pancho Villa. Primero se realiza un repaso de la historia del cómic popular mexicano y del destino de algunas de sus series representativas, se procede luego a un resumen de la trayectoria profesional de José G. Cruz y, finalmente, se analiza la serie Adelita y las guerrillas desde el punto de vista gráfico y literario, con especial interés en la representación de los personajes masculinos y femeninos y la representación del periodo histórico a través de la fantasía desbordante de un autor extraño y singular: José G. Cruz |
| English abstract | In this essay, the author focuses in the main character of Adelita and the guerrillas, by José G. Cruz, to carry out an analysis on how this protagonist was good to summarize in the popular culture some aspects of the Mexican Revolution, mainly the one leaded by Pancho Villa. First there is a review of the Mexican Revolution, mainly the one leaded by Pancho Villa. First there is a review of the Mexican popular comic history and the destination of some of their representative series, the there is a summary of the professional career of José G. Cruz and, finally, an analysis of the Adelita and the guerrillas series from the graphical and literary point of view, with special interest in the depiction of the masculine and feminine characters and the depiction of the historic period through the overwhelming fantasy of an odd and singular author: José G. Cruz |
