| Spanish abstract | La incidencia del dengue continúa siendo un serio problema global de salud a pesar de todas las acciones acometidas en diversas regiones del mundo. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar el comportamiento estacional y la relevancia de los depósitos permanentes y útiles urbanos para la presencia de Aedes aegypti en un área de salud de la provincia de Camagüey, Cuba, con elevada densidad vectorial durante el 2013. Existió una fuerte asociación entre el total de depósitos positivos y la sub-población de los conformados por los permanentes y útiles, los que siendo minoría como tipo de depósito incluyeron el 72,98% del total de receptáculos positivos. Hubo igualmente diferencias significativas a favor de los mismos en el período lluvioso y poco lluvioso hacia el exterior de las viviendas, lo que refuerza la prioridad que tienen en las acciones de vigilancia y control a desarrollar por los moradores en sus respectivas viviendas |
| English abstract | Dengue incidence continues to be a serious global health problem in spite of all the control measures in diverse regions of the world. The objective of this study was to analyze the seasonal behavior and the relevance of the urban permanent and useful containers for the presence of Aedes aegypti in an area of health concerns in Camagüey , Cuba, with high vector density during the 2013. A strong association existed between the total positive deposits and the sub-population of those conformed by the permanent and useful, those that being minority like deposit type included 72.98% of the total of positive holders. There were significant dif ferences equally in favor of the same ones in the rainy and dry period toward the exterior of the housings, which reinforces the priority that they have in the actions of surveillance and control |
