| Spanish abstract | En este trabajo buscaremos analizar el contenido del conflicto suscitado en la Argentina en torno a las semillas de soja genéticamente modificada, que involucró a una multiplicidad de actores sociales. En efecto, si bien el reclamo por el pago de regalías fue liderado por Monsanto, los criaderos de variedades también exigirían lo propio, aliándose con aquélla. Estas pretensiones serían enfrentadas por distintas organizaciones, entre las que destacan la Sociedad Rural Argentina y la Federación Agraria Argentina. Por su parte, también el gobierno kirchnerista enfrentaría estas exigencias, aunque con distinta vehemencia. Tras caracterizar brevemente la dinámica del conflicto, valiéndonos de documentos, notas periodísticas y entrevistas, procuraremos explicar su contenido a partir del análisis de la riqueza social en juego en el contexto de la especificidad que toma la acumulación de capital en la Argentina |
| English abstract | In this paper we aim to analyze the content of the conflict that arose in Argentina over genetically modified soybeans, which involved a multiplicity of social actors. In fact, although the claim for the payment of royalties was led by Monsanto, the breeders made the same demands, allying with the firm. These pretensions would be confronted by different organizations, among which the Sociedad Rural Argentina and the Federación Agraria Argentina stand out. In turn, the Kirchnerist government would also face these claims, with changing vehemence. After briefly characterizing the dynamics of the conflict using documents, journalistic notes and interviews, we will try to explain its content based on an analysis of the social wealth at stake, in the context of the specificity of capital accumulation in Argentina |
