| Spanish abstract | Las ideas que ordenan este relato tratan de mostrar para el lector extranjero la experiencia del primer gobierno del partido Acción Democrática en Venezuela, luego de derrocar producto de un Golpe de Estado, al gobierno del general Isaías Medina Angarita. Se considera este período como el primer ensayo democrático que involucró a los sectores sociales hasta ese momento excluidos del sistema político. Se analizan brevemente el conjunto de reformas democráticas y las posibles causas que determinaron su salida del poder, producto también de un pronunciamiento militar en 1948 |
| English abstract | The ordering of the ideas underlying this narrative try to show to the reader the experience of the first government of the Democratic Action party in Venezuela, after overthrowing the government of General Isaías Medina Angarita which came about as a product of a coup de etat. The author considers this period as the first trial involving democratic social sectors hitherto excluded from the political system. It discusses briefly the set of democratic reforms and possible causes that led to his ouster from office, also the product of a military uprising in 1948 |
