| English abstract | This article analyzes the main characteristics of neoliberal social policies with the backdrop of the necessary relationship between state and capital. The State, constituted on the basis of capital, was configured as political command structure that acts on the contradictions of the capital system. From this relationship, we affirm that thinking the neoliberal face of social policies of the state is thinking about the existence of a maximum state, in favor of capital, since the state, fulfilling its essential function, cuts up the offer of public services and opens up new areas for capitalist exploitation in times of structural crisis of capital |
| Portuguese abstract | Este artigo pretende analisar as características principais das políticas sociais em tempos de neoliberalismo tendo como pano de fundo a necessária relação entre Estado e capital. O Estado, constituído sobre a base material do capital, configurou-se como estrutura de comando político que age sobre as contradições do sistema do capital. A partir de tal relação, afirmamos que pensar a face neoliberal das políticas sociais do Estado atualmente é pensar a existência de um Estado máximo, a favor do capital, já que o Estado, cumprindo sua função política essencial, retira-se da oferta de grande parte dos serviços públicos e abre novos campos para a exploração capitalista em tempos de crise estrutural do capital |
