| Spanish abstract | El presente estudio evaluó el efecto de tratamientos silvícolas en la diversidad y estructura de especies en ecosistemas forestales de clima templado en el Municipio de Pueblo Nuevo del Estado de Durango, México; se realizó con la finalidad de conocer si el aprovechamiento forestal modifica la diversidad, mezcla de especies, distribución espacial y diferenciación dimensional de los individuos en estos ecosistemas. La evaluación se realizó comparando 10 parcelas con historial de manejo, las cuales se midieron antes de la aplicación del tratamiento y cinco años después. Se compararon los índices de diversidad de Shannon, Simpson y Margalef, así como índices de estructura de mezcla de especies, distribución espacial y diferenciación dimensional. De acuerdo con los tratamientos silvícolas aplicados, los valores de los índices no presentan diferencias significativas en sus evaluaciones (p > 0.05), lo que indica que el aprovechamiento forestal no modifica la diversidad y estructura de especies del estrato arbóreo de esta comunidad vegetal |
| English abstract | The present study evaluated the effect of silvicultural treatments on the diversity and structure of species in temperate forest ecosystems in the Municipality of Pueblo Nuevo in the State of Durango, Mexico; It was carried out to know if forest use modifies the diversity, mixture of species, spatial distribution, and dimensional differentiation of individuals in these ecosystems. The evaluation was carried out by comparing 10 plots with management history, which were measured before the application of the treatment and five years later. The diversity indices of Shannon, Simpson and Margalef were compared, as well as indices of structure of mixture of species, spatial distribution, and dimensional differentiation. According to the silvicultural treatments applied, the values of the indices do not present significant differences in their evaluations (p> 0.05), which indicates that forest use does not modify the diversity and structure of species of the tree stratum of this plant community |
