English abstract | In American Indigenous cultures exist paradigms, bgeliefs and concepts that posit a better relationship between human beings and nature -and/or its results- incluiding Mother Earth, communal reciprocity networks, harmonious coexistence or living well, and an aspiration to the "Land without Evil". We analyze the worldviews and knowledges of such indigenous peoples in order to inspire environmental ethics toward new approaches, beyond its current centrism (anthropocentrism, biocentrism, ecocentrism, and the like). We put forward the idea of considering manknd as a "part" of nature, this pomoting life in fullness, where the satisfaction of needs is not consumerism-waste, and where upgrading the community life both with other people and with other living beings is possible |
