| English abstract | The article presents and analyzes the sociodiscursive inscription of the novel Germinie Lacerteux (1865), written by brothers Edmond (1822-1896) and Jules (1830-1870) de Goncourt, in the Brazilian literary field. In a first moment, the conditions of production of the novel in France are observed. This allows, then, to investigate its circulation and critical reception in Brazil. Finally, we try to understand the process of incorporation of aesthetic values, recognized by French and Brazilian critics as characteristic of the Goncourt brothers' style and markedly present in Germinie Lacerteux, to the novels O pajé (1887), by Marques de Carvalho, and Flor de sangue (1897), by Valentim Magalhães. |
| Portuguese abstract | O artigo apresenta e analisa a inscrição sociodiscursiva do romance Germinie Lacerteux (1865), escrito pelos irmãos Edmond (1822-1896) e Jules (1830-1870) de Goncourt, no campo literário brasileiro. Em um primeiro momento, observam-se as condições de produção do romance na França. Isso permite, em seguida, investigar sua circulação e recepção crítica no Brasil. Finalmente, tenta-se compreender o processo de incorporação de valores estéticos, reconhecidos pela crítica francesa e brasileira como característicos do estilo dos irmãos Goncourt e marcadamente presentes em Germinie Lacerteux, aos romances O pajé (1887), de Marques de Carvalho, e Flor de sangue (1897), de Valentim Magalhães. |
