| English abstract | This research falls within the field of Literary Studies in an interdisciplinary perspective with Gender Studies and Sexual Diversity. The overall objective is to analyze the different representations of gender and sexual diversity in child and adolescent literature, so as to show how this difference is represented in the texture of the literary text. Moreover, we seek to explain how to read literary works that address this theme can contribute to the formation of the contemporary readers. | Portuguese abstract | Esta pesquisa insere-se no campo dos estudos literários, em uma perspectiva interdisciplinar com os estudos de gênero e diversidade sexual. O objetivo geral é fazer uma análise das distintas representações da diversidade de gênero e sexual na literatura infanto-juvenil, de modo a evidenciar como essa diferença é representada na tessitura do texto literário. Além disso, procuramos explicitar como a leitura literária de obras que abordem essa temática pode contribuir para a formação de leitores na contemporaneidade.
