| English abstract | Child labor is one of the realities that has affected humanity for decades. For this reason, different international institutions have developed regulations to regulate it. In the Ecuadorian State, some of its regulations prevent the labor exploitation of minors, such as the Code of Childhood and Adolescence, as well as the Constitution or the Labor Code, which seek to preserve the dignity and integral development of the minor. The main objective was to analyze the violation of the integral development of minors due to child labor in times of pandemic. A qualitative approach was applied, following a descriptive method to address mainly child labor as a starting point and its negative action on the right of the best interest of the child. It was concluded that the lack of legal action presents an important pillar in the increase of the violation of the rights of children and adolescents |
| Spanish abstract | El trabajo infantil es una de las realidades que ha afectado la humanidad desde hace décadas. Por ello, diferentes instituciones internacionales han desarrollado normativas para regularla. En el Estado ecuatoriano, algunas de sus normativas previenen la explotación laboral de los menores; como el Código de la Niñez y Adolescencia, así como la Constitución o el Código del Trabajo, las cuales buscan preservar la dignidad y desarrollo integral del menor. Como objetivo principal se analizó la vulneración del desarrollo integral del menor, por el trabajo infantil en época de pandemia. Se aplicó un enfoque cualitativo, siguiendo un método descriptivo para abordar principalmente el trabajo infantil como punto de partida y su acción negativa en el derecho del interés superior del niño. Se concluyó que la falta de acción jurídica presenta un pilar importante en el aumento de la vulneración de los derechos de los niños, niñas y adolescentes. |
