| Spanish abstract | Este texto es una revisión en torno a los discursos y la imagen de Malinali (la Malinche) como figura histórica y literaria. Se revisa desde los relatos periodísticos y literarios de inicios del siglo XX —aunque arrancan en el XIX—, pasando por las reflexiones en torno a la mexicanidad y la representación artística y cultural en la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Y ya en el siglo XXI cómo ven a Malinali los infantes y jóvenes. Se muestra la diversidad de opinión y versiones del personaje según la mirada de los actores sociales en cuestión, así como el cambio histórico de la misma que está teniendo lugar en nuestros días |
| English abstract | This paper studies the discourse around and the image of Malinali (la Malinche), as a historical and literary figure. The study encompasses the journalistic and literary discourse since the beginning of the XXth century —although it actually started in the XIXth— and the reflection upon Mexican identity and its artistic and cultural representation in the second half of the XXth century, as well as how children and young people view Malinali in the XXIth century. It is shown the diversity of opinion and different versions of the character according to the views of the social actors in question, and the historical change of this outlook taking place in our time |
