| Spanish abstract | En el presente artículo bosquejamos la nueva relación que se establece entre pensamiento y lenguaje con la introducción de la fotografía en el siglo xix. La 222 mediación que la tecnología introduce no puede entenderse sin considerar el problema de la referencia y la revolución que experimenta con respecto a la anterior mediación simbólica. Para mostrar ese contraste utilizamos el texto de Hegel sobre la certeza sensible al comienzo de La fenomenología del espíritu. La indicialidad de la fotografía produce una mediación que no se deja reducir a un análisis fenomenológico de las relaciones entre conciencia y lo mentado por su intencionalidad. Lo que se requiere no es una nueva reducción del objeto a la conciencia sino una nueva consideración ontológica del objeto mediado por la tecnología. Pretendemos seguir aquí los inicios de esa nueva consideración ontológica que, a pesar de las innovaciones y transformaciones, aún está con nosotros |
| English abstract | In the following article we outline the shift introduced by the invention of photography in the relationship between thinking and language. The mediation of technology cannot be understood without considering the problem of reference and the revolution introduced in it, in relation to the former symbolic mediation. To show this contrast we use Hegel’s text about the sensible certainty at the beginning of his Phenomenology of Spirit. The indexcharacter of photography produces a mediation that cannot be reduced to a phenomenological analysis of the relationship between consciousness and what is intended by it. What is here needed is not a new reduction of the object to the consciousness but a new ontological consideration of it altogether. We seek to follow here the beginning of this new consideration of the object, one that, in spite of innovations and transformations, is still with us |
