| English abstract | The aim of this article is to answer: what is the religion of Voltaire? Does the philosopher have one religious model to propose? Since we know that the answer is affirmative, we analyze Voltaire’s main works, in order to understand what the most important bases of his religion are, what the questions that most appear in his works are, and how these questions are answered. So, we will present the relationship between Voltaire’s ideas and the Christian religion of his time, and what o ur philosopher thinks about God, soul and free will. We will present, too, what is the religion model of Voltaire |
| Portuguese abstract | O intuito dest e artigo é responder: qual a religião de Voltaire? O filósofo teria um modelo de religião a propor? Como sabemos que a resposta é po sitiva, trabalhamos com as principais obras de Voltaire para entender quais são os fundamentos mais importantes de sua religião, quais são as questões que mais aparecem nas obras do filósofo e como elas são respondidas.
