| Resumen en inglés | The present study represents an approach to those names which the Municipality of Heredia has given to the Streets and Avenues from the Central Area in order to honor memorable citizens from the province. The objective of this work is to recover the historic and cultural heritage of the province and let people know about it. The corpus was collected thanks to the information facilitated by the Municipality of Heredia, the data provided by the Secretariat of the National Nomenclature Committee (Comisión Nacional de Nomenclatura), as well as the interviews applied to the historian Manuel Argüello |
