| Spanish abstract | En esta ponencia se analiza el poema "A la defensa de Madrid" (1938), un texto poco conocido de Joaquín Gutiérrez Mangel (1918-2000), pero muy revelador de su sensibilidad artística y social. Inicialmente se parte del contexto histórico y cultural de la Costa Rica de la década de 1930 y se destaca la función desempeñada por la Liga Antifacista, para, en un segundo momento, abordar las particularidades enunciativas y temáticas del mismo, enfatizando el compromiso del autor y la esperanza de construcción de una sociedad justa, solidaria y humanista |
| English abstract | In this presentation it is analyzed the poem “A la defensa de Madrid” (1938), a little known text from Joaquín Gutiérrez Mangel (1918-2000); moreover , highly revealing of his artistic and social sensibility. First, it starts in the Costa Rica’s historic and cultural context from 1930 decade, underlining the fulfill function of the Anti-fascist League; then, the enunciative and thematic particularities of the text are undertaken. It emphasizes the author ’ s commitment and the hope to create a humanistic, solidary and just society |
