| Spanish abstract | El acceso abierto (Open Access) cada día es más evidente, haciendo que el acceso libre a los textos sea un hecho cada vez más frecuente. Por otra parte, la disponibilidad gratuita de artículos científicos completos en formato electrónico por Internet, ha probado ser la manera más rápida y efectiva de difundir o acceder a la información científica. Por ello, existe un auge en la creación de revistas científicas disponibles a texto completo en Internet en la mayoría de los países. No obstante, en Chile existen pocas posibilidades para los farmacéuticos de publicar sus trabajos científicos, dada la falta de una revista que los represente. Es por esto que nace la revista Journal of Pharmacy & Pharmacognosy Research, una revista internacional, en Inglés y Español, especializada y con revisión por pares, de acceso abierto, la cual publicará estudios científicos en los campos farmacéuticos y farmacognósticos. Esta revista publicará artículos de investigación, revisiones, comentarios y cartas al editor, así como ediciones especiales y las reseñas de libros y tesis de pre y postgrado de los farmacéuticos o los profesionales de las Ciencias Farmacéuticas y la Farmacognosia El surgimiento de una revista científica, además de un acontecimiento intelectual, constituye un reto humano y financiero importante. Queremos compartir este reto con vosotros, lectores y futuros autores de los artículos de esta, vuestra revista. ¡Bienvenidos! |
| English abstract | Open access is becoming increasingly evident, making the free access to texts a fact increasingly common. Also, the free availability of full scientific papers in electronic format on the Internet has proven to be the fastest and most effective way to disseminate or access to scientific information. Therefore, there is a boom in the creation of scientific journals available in online full text in most countries. However, in Chile there is little chance for pharmacists to publish their scientific work, given the lack of a journal to represent them. Arises is why the Journal of Pharmacy & Pharmacognosy Research, an international journal, in English and Spanish, specialized and peer review, open access, which publishes scientific studies in pharmacognostic and pharmaceutical fields. This journal will publish research articles, reviews, commentaries and letters to the editor, as well as special editions and reviews of book and undergraduate and graduate theses of pharmacists or professionals involved in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Pharmacognosy. The emergence of a scientific journal, plus an intellectual event, is a major financial and human challenge. We want to share this challenge with you, readers and future authors of the articles in this, your journal. Welcome! |
