| Spanish abstract | Este artículo aborda y analiza el discurso y la estrategia que han construido los actores evangélicos en el espacio público desde la acción colectiva contestataria, la incidencia política pro derechos y la participación en los espacios de la sociedad civil. El análisis pone énfasis en las implicaciones y resignificaciones de la estrategia de apropiación del espacio público por parte de los grupos y redes vinculados al neoprogresismo evangélico. Nuestro análisis contribuye a la discusión sobre el modo en que el capital religioso aporta en los procesos de acción colectiva y movilización social. Al mismo tiempo permite reconocer el otro rostro de lo evangélico en lo público, que contrasta con el discurso y las prácticas del neofundamentalismo religioso y que se ubica en la frontera del activismo religioso contestatario |
| English abstract | This essay addresses and analyzes the discourse and strategy of evangelical actors who have built their action and power in the public space from collective protest action, political advocacy and interaction with other actors and spaces of civil society. The analysis emphasizes the implications and resignifications of the strategy of appropriation of public space by groups and networks linked to evangelical neo-progressivism. Our analysis contributes to the discussion about how religious capital contributes to the processes of collective action and social mobilization. It also allows us to recognize the other face of the evangelical in the public sphere, which contrasts with the discourse and practices of neo-fundamentalist religion and which is located on the frontier of protestant religious activism |
