| Spanish abstract | El objetivo de este artículo es analizar la relación entre el Partido Socialista (PS) argentino y el movimiento obrero a comienzos del siglo XX, a partir de la experiencia del Comité de Propaganda Gremial (1914-1917), un organismo que intervino dentro y fuera de ese partido, creando sindicatos y fomentando la necesidad de la acción gremial. El CPG fue impulsado por militantes de la izquierda revolucionaria e internacionalista del PS, que luego fue expulsada de esa fuerza y constituyó el Partido Comunista. El CPG fue un intento de superación de la estrategia oficial del PS, según la cual el movimiento obrero debía ser completamente independiente del partido, y contar con tácticas propias y fines específicos |
| English abstract | This article analyzes the relationship between Argentina Socialist Party (PS) and the labor movement in the early twentieth century. Examines the experience of the Comité de Propaganda Gremial (CPG), a political structure that stepped in and out of that game, creating unions and promoting the need for union action. The CPG existed between 1914 and 1917, and was driven by militants of the revolutionary internationalist left of the PS, which was later expelled from the force and was the Communist Party. The CPG was an attempt to overcome the official PS strategy, according to which the labor movement should be completely independent of the party, and having their own tactics and specific purposes |
