| Spanish abstract | Este trabajo muestra un panorama de la estructura territorial del turismo en Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, México. El estudio se divide en dos apartados: en el primero se hacen las precisiones conceptuales pertinentes y se sintetizan los eventos históricos representativos del turismo en la frontera norte de México; en el segundo se analizan algunos componentes de la estructura territorial referida, tales como los atractivos que posibilitan la actividad turística, el uso del suelo, los vínculos de comunicación y los flujos de visitantes |
| English abstract | This paper deals with the issue of the territorial structure of tourism in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. To do this, the study is divided into two major parts: first, theoretical aspects, given support to our analysis, and a brief history of tourism in the Northern borderlands of Mexico are presented. Then, four basic components of the territorial structure of tourism in Ciudad Juarez are examined: natural and cultural attractions, urban land-use, communications network centred around the city and visitors and tourist flows |
