| Spanish abstract | En este trabajo se presenta la descripción y el análisis de algunos aspectos del sistema de asentamientos del centro de México. Se analizan cuatro atributos del sistema: i) las ciudades que lo integran; ii) la organización jerárquica; iii) las áreas de influencia, y iv) la interacción entre ciudades; para posteriormente definir los subsistemas. También se hace una revisión de la historia del sistema de asentamientos, para identificar los componentes permanentes (estructura) que determinan el comportamiento del sistema de los componentes temporales (programa) |
| English abstract | This paper describes and analyzes some items of settlement systems in central Mexico. Four attributes of the system were studied: i) the cities integrating the system; ii) the hierarchical arrangement; iii) the influence areas, and iv) the interaction between cities. Thus it was possible to define the subsystems. The history of the settlement systems in central Mexico was also examined, in order to indetify and differenciate the permanent components (structure) determining the behavior of the system, from temporal components (program) |
