| Spanish abstract | Esta contribución presenta un panorama general de la estancia de perfeccionamiento realizada por la autora entre 2010 y 2011 en el taller de investigación, conservación y restauración de escultura en madera policromada del Instituto Real de Patrimonio Artístico (Koninklijk Instituut voor het Kunstpatrimonium/Institut Royal du Patrimoine Artistique, KIK–IRPA), Bruselas, Bélgica. Para ello se abordan de forma general: la conformación y evolución de dicha institución, así como la estructura de sus estancias de perfeccionamiento. Se reseñan las actividades realizadas durante la experiencia en cuestión, lo cual lleva a una serie de reflexiones finales dedicadas a un contraste situacional de la restauración en México y Bélgica |
| English abstract | This paper aims to provide a general overview of my internship from 2010–2011 at the Polychromed Wood Sculpture Workshop of the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage in Brussels, Belgium (KIK–IRPA). It tackles, in a general way, the conformation and development of this institution and its internships, as well as the activities carried out during this time and the reflections that were generated from the internship as a result of the comparison between restoration in Mexico and Belgium |
