| Spanish abstract | Este artículo propone una revisión del movimiento feminista que tuvo lugar en México durante 2019 y 2020, centrándose en los resultados, específicamente cuáles fueron las acciones tomadas por los gobiernos federal y de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México frente a esta protesta social. Para ello, proponemos una tipología de respuestas de la autoridad ante un movimiento social: automáticos o reflejos, de apariencia o coyunturales, oportunista y, profundas o de largo alcance. Con ello buscamos encontrar cuál fue el sentido de la acción de los gobierno o autoridades federales y universitarias frente a una protesta como la feminista: resolver las demandas, aplazar, descalificarla o reprimirla |
| English abstract | The article presents a review of the feminist movement that developed in Mexico in 2019-2020, focusing on its results; specifically, the measures taken by the federal government and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in reaction to that social protest. We propose a typology of the authorities’ responses to social movements: automatic or reflexive, of appearance or circumstantial, opportunistic, and deep or far-reaching. Using this approach, we seek to discover the meaning of the actions taken by the federal government and the university’s authorities as they confronted a protest like this feminist demonstration, asking: were they designed to resolve the demands, postpone dealing with them, disqualify the movement, or repress it |
