| Spanish abstract | En este texto se intenta mostrar que antropología y raza eran conceptos conexos durante el siglo XIX y cómo este vínculo configuró lo que hemos denominado el régimen de indigeneidad racializada en México. A partir del contenido de Anthropologie du Mexique, de Ernest-Théodore Hamy, de 1891, se analiza uno de los discursos científicos de clasificación y conformación de la alteridad, su estabilización a partir de tipos raciales que, a lo largo del tiempo, han derivado en estereotipos que fijan esa alteridad impidiendo romper con un pensamiento racialista y racista. Se propone un estudio histórico que desteja esos anudamientos para intentar dar paso a lo que Rita Segato ha llamado antropología por demanda o litigante |
| English abstract | In this text we aim to show that anthropology and race were connected concepts in the nineteenth century, and this connection shaped what we have termed the racialized indigeniety regime in Mexico. Departing from the contents of Anthropologie du Mexique, by Ernest-Théodore Hamy (1891) we analyze one of the scientific discourses of classification and approach to otherness, and its stabilization on the basis of racial types which, with the passage of time, has set this otherness and thwarted any effort to break with racialist and racist thinking. I propose an historical study capable of undoing these knots and opening the way for something that Rita Segato has called anthropology on demand, or litigant anthropology |
